Friends and family were greeted with warmth, wine, and magnificent food. Enjoyment of family was primary in the Marcinelli household. Anthony loved Agnes's cooking and became a wonderful cook himself, with specialties that were taught to him by his mom, Assunta ("Susan"), an expert home cook. Tony was never the same without his beloved Agnes.Ī devoted family man, Tony's great pleasure was to host huge family dinners that ran into the late hours of the evening. Their happy union was forever changed when Agnes passed away in 2011. They raised a family of six children and remained in the Poughkeepsie area throughout their marriage. They had many friends, were socially active and loved to dance. They were true partners in marriage and weathered life's ups and downs with love and humor. Tony's commander had big army career ideas for this soldier, but Tony was otherwise committed to his beautiful fiancé who was waiting for him at home.Īnthony is predeceased by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Agnes Gloria Concetta Sucato. In a short time, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Tony graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and then joined the US Army and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. Anthony was brother to the late siblings, Armando, Rose Assenza and Loretta Morano. He later sent for Assunta, they married and settled in Poughkeepsie. old boy (alone), Peter immigrated from Italy, worked on the railroad, and eventually became a US citizen. Mike is survived by his son and daughter in-law Craig M. He always looked forward to multiple annual trips to NYC with his brother Nick, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Mountain Jam, as well as an annual visit to Saratoga racetrack with his father and sons. Mike was known for riding around the city in his Jeep Wrangler, never without his Basset Hounds, Ernie and then Jolene. He was so proud of his two sons and enjoyed spending time with them, always excited to help with a project at their homes, head to a car show or find any reason to get together. Mike made the most of life and had a perpetually positive outlook in any situation, even during his health troubles. Since 2000, he had so much fun entertaining everyone with Bernie & Mike plus Dan, a hit at local restaurants and parties. He performed in many bands over the years from high school up through this year. Mike was a talented musician, a natural guitar player ever since he started playing at the age of 14. He retired in 2012 after 37 years of service, having made many lifetime friends. He enjoyed taking care of all the various sports fields in the city and watching the games, while interacting with everyone along the way. Mike worked for the City of Poughkeepsie Parks and Recreation Department, a job he truly loved. Mike was a proud local resident all of his life, and a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. He was born on Apin Newburgh, NY to the late Nicholas and the late Mary “Molly” Ring DeCiutiis. We are thankful for this beautiful ending to his long battle, which he never once complained about. DeCiutiis, 65, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on July 26, 2022, while he was walking his dog, Jolene, one of the most enjoyable parts of his day. ![]()
